The Second Honeymoon

We're under no illusion, what follows is our itinerary for our trip of a lifetime to Australia. Just cos we're married less than two years doesn't mean we can't have a 2nd honeymoon - we had a hard first year!!!!! We're leaving Wellington next Thursday so we thought you might like to see what we've been planning and where we are going in Oz.

8th Feb Depart Wellington for Cairns ( stopover flight to Sydney first)
4 days in Cairns where we plan to take a 60 minute hot air balloon flight, visit Cape Tribulation, Daintree and Mossman Gorge - a 4WD tour and snorkel in the Great Barrier Reef.

12th Feb - Next flight to Hamilton Island - one of the Islands in the Whitsunday group, transfer to Long Island for a very romantic 3 night stay in Peppers Palm Bay in a Bure!!

15th Feb - Fly from Hamilton Island to Brisbane - transfer to Noosa where we stay a night before going to Fraser Island for a 3 day trip.

18th Feb - Back to Brisbane where we stay one night before flying to Sydney for 4 nights. Only 4 nights unfortunately. All we have booked at this stage is a trip to the Blue Mountains but we'll have plenty to see and do in Sydney.

23rd Feb - Fly Sydney to Hobart - Tasmania - the whole purpose of our trip is to attend Don & El's wedding. We spend 10 days in Tasmania, the majority of which are prior to the wedding. Norah and Ian are travelling over too and will be in Hobart around the same time as ourselves, so we'll get to do a little travelling with them.

5th March - Fly Hobart to Melbourne and then fly Melbourne to Wellington.

Wahoo!!!!!!!

Oops, I've just counted up the flights - there's 8 flights in the month we are travelling - that's quite a bit of carbon neutralising we'll have to do.
